Upon graduating UNCW with a degree in Economics, Clay Ashby jumpstarted his career at East Coast Lumber and began exploring ways he could diversify the products, clients, and geographical market share of the company. Clay is now particularly focused on expanding East Coast Lumber into the spruce market and forging relationships with strong European mills and partners, efficiently connecting those partners to the American Southeastern market.
He currently resides in Wilmington, NC where he enjoys the beach and exploring the local scenery and culture. Clay is passionate about traveling and discovering new opportunities, whether it be in life or business.
My favorite part about working for East Coast Lumber is the freedom that it provides me to expand the business in creative and exciting ways.
